Addis Alliance is a Local community based organization by young Ethiopian LGBTI with a vision of having healthy and empowered Ethiopian LGBTI community. Addis Alliance was formed in April 2016 having the following main objectives;
- To increase the comprehensive knowledge on sexual and reproductive health among Ethiopian LGBTI community in Addis Ababa.
- To increase the number of MSM community in Addis Ababa who use condoms and water based lubricants consistently.
- To promote self-acceptance and well-being among Ethiopian LGBTI community in Addis Ababa.
Our core principles
Empowerment: All members of the Ethiopian LGBTI community need to be visible, well informed, and self-reliant.
Partnership: All sectors of the LGBTI community have to be involved in order to effectively bring change. Collaboration with local and international organizations, Donors, allies and concerned government bodies to increase efforts, pooling resources together, creating synergy and maximizing impact.
Result oriented: The efforts on the visibility of the LGBTI Ethiopians should yield the expected results in empowering the LGBTI community in Ethiopia.
Best use of resource: Resources mobilized from external development partners and communities should be utilized in an effective and efficient manner with accountability.
